This ensures that they meet thebuilding standards outlined in the Protective Covenants. The Committee makes recommendations to the Association that promote appropriate aesthetics and protect the interests of members from unforeseen development activities. Follow this process for submitting your proposed
plans to the Building Committee
The Approval Process:1.Make sure your proposed project meets the MLOA Building requirements. Contact the Building Committee Chair if you have questions.2.Apply for your Zoning permits and Construction permits.3.Provide the Chairman of the Building committee a copy of the Zoning and Construction permits along with your building plans and a copy of the site plan that shows the proposed location of the buildings and setbacks. Details of the process to follow are in this PDF.4.The Chairman then transmits the building plans to the committee members with recommendations for comments and approval or denial from the members.5.Once a majority of the members have approved or denied the application, the chairman notifies the president of the Association with the committee's recommendation. The president approves or denies and contacts the landowner. If a plan is denied, reasons are given, as are suggestions on how to change the plan to comply with the covenants.
